Sarah Maurer is a psychotherapist and owner of Sunstone Counseling LLC. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified EMDR Psychotherapist. She utilizes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) in the treatment of trauma, addictions, and early attachment disorders. She received her Masters of Arts in Clinical-Adult Psychology from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and completed her practicum with Dr. Alec Pollard at the St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute where her work focused on the treatment of anxiety disorders, OCD, and depressive disorders. She is a Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional-Diplomate and passionate about assisting individuals to overcome their struggle with addictions and has received advanced training in this area.
